Porcelain Veneers

Zoom!® In-office Teeth Whitening
Dr. Grisham offers the safe and effective Zoom!® teeth whitening system for patients throughout the Littleton, New Hampshire and St. Johnsbury, Vermont areas. This in-office teeth whitening treatment can quickly and easily create dramatic results.
To begin the Zoom!® procedure, Dr. Grisham will cover the patient's lips and gums so that only the teeth are exposed. He then applies the teeth whitening gel to the patient's teeth. Next, he applies a special light to the teeth which activates the gel, helping it to break up deep stains. Finally, the gel is removed to reveal a brighter, whiter smile. The entire process takes about an hour and lightens teeth an average of eight shades.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are an extremely natural-looking option for the replacement of missing teeth. These titanium implants are surgically placed in the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots and are used to attach replacement teeth below the gumline. Dental implants are popular among patients throughout the Littleton, New Hampshire area because they look and function much like natural teeth. They don’t rely on surrounding teeth for support as dental bridges do, and no special care is needed.
Placement of Dental Implants
Dental implants are typically placed in two steps. First, the implants are surgically placed into the patient’s jawbone by a dental surgeon. The gums and jawbone are allowed to heal so that the bone fuses with the titanium implant. Once the healing process is completed and Dr. Grisham determines that the bone has fused and established a solid foundation, he will craft a natural-looking replacement tooth and attach it to the implant.
Because the success of dental implants depends on how well they fuse to the jawbone, they work well only for patients who have sufficient bone and healthy gums. Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are an excellent tooth replacement option for patients who are not good candidates for implants. Bridges fill the gap left by one or more missing teeth. They are made up of one or more artificial teeth that are held in place with dental crowns that are placed on the teeth on either side of the gap. In some cases, dental implants can be used instead of crowns to hold a dental bridge in place.
Placement of a dental bridge can be completed in two visits to our office. During the first visit, the surrounding teeth are prepared for crowns and an impression of the area is made. This impression is sent to a dental laboratory so that the bridge can be custom made. During a second visit, the bridge – including the crowns and artificial tooth or teeth – is bonded into place. Tooth-Colored Fillings/Inlays/Onlays
Unsightly, potentially dangerous mercury fillings are old news. Our state-of-the-art practice instead uses only mercury-free fillings to repair teeth and correct injuries. The fillings can be made from resin, ceramic, or porcelain, and are strongly bonded to your teeth. When a tooth has extensive damage due to injury or decay, we can use an inlay or onlay to add strength and stability. Dental inlays treat decay or damage within the cusps (top projections of a tooth), while dental onlays treat decay or damage that includes one or more of the cusps. Tooth-colored fillings, inlays, and onlays not only look more natural, they also feel more natural than their metal counterparts.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns, also known as caps, cover the entire tooth to conceal cracks, discolorations, misalignments, and other imperfections. They are also used to add strength to an extensively damaged tooth that cannot be fixed with fillings, inlays, or onlays. Crowns also decrease physical discomfort in the teeth, and can vastly improve the overall appearance of a smile. They are also placed on the teeth surrounding a gap to secure dental bridges. Traditionally, it takes at least two visits to create and place a dental crown. However, with CEREC® 3D, we can custom-make your crown and place it on your tooth in just one visit.
Professional Cleanings and Examinations
Although twice-daily brushings and regular flossing are excellent for maintenance between office visits, professional cleanings and examinations are absolutely necessary to maintain a healthy mouth. Dr. Grisham and our staff will help you keep your teeth and gums strong and disease-free with regular, professional cleanings and comprehensive examinations. We utilize several advanced technologies, including the DIAGNOdent® laser that allows us to find small cavities and hidden decay before they are visible to the naked eye.
