When a patient needs a dental crown placed, Dr. John S. Grisham will use CEREC® in Littleton, New Hampshire. CEREC, which stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, allows our dentist to produce attractive, tooth-colored restorations in one visit. CEREC technology can be used to design and construct dental inlays and onlays, dental crowns, and dental veneers. Traditionally, dental restorations take one to two weeks to construct and at least two appointments to place.

When a dental restoration is needed, our dentist will use CEREC technology to digitally scan the tooth and those that are nearby. Gone is the need for messy traditional impressions. Our dentist will design the dental restoration using CEREC software. CEREC will analyze the digital impression images and propose restoration designs. This saves our dentist time. Once the dental restoration is designed, our dentist will construct it using a CEREC milling or grinding machine. This process only takes a few minutes. The results will be very precise, so your dental restoration will be durable, safe, and very esthetic. Our dentist will place the dental restoration in your mouth to check the fit and color. After any needed alterations have been made, the dental restoration is bonded in place.
